Leeds United striker Chris Wood has told Sky Sports that Kyle Bartley and Luke Ayling are the two biggest characters in the squad.

Bartley, who is 25 years of age and operates as a centre-back, is currently on loan at Leeds from Premier League outfit Swansea City.

Ayling, who is also 25 years of age and can play as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, moved to the Whites from Championship club Bristol City in the summer of 2016.

Wood, who has been at Elland Road since 2015, has spoken highly of the two Leeds defenders.

“Barts [Kyle Bartley] and Luke Ayling are probably the terrible two!” Wood told Sky Sports when asked who the biggest character in the squad is.

“They are no longer house-mates but they are tight – like an old, married couple at times! They are both good lads too and they have added so much to the squad.”

Wood has been one of the best players for Leeds this season, but the contribution of Bartley and Ayling cannot be undermined.

The two defenders has formed a strong partnership at the back, as the Whites have continued to progress this campaign.

Garry Monk’s side are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 69 points from 38 matches.

Leeds will return to action on Saturday evening when they will take on Reading away from home at the Madejski Stadium in the Championship.
