Elena Rybakina’s 2025 campaign ended with a bang as she wrapped up the year by winning the WTA Finals.
Rybakina picked up three titles over the course of the season, raising her overall total to 11 in the process.
The first two came in Strasbourg and Ningbo, before she topped it all off with that run at the WTA Finals in Riyadh.
She didn’t lose a single match at the year-end tournament, a run that saw her pocket $5.24million in prize money.
How Elena Rybakina’s game evolved to produce a three-title Season in 2025
Sabalenka, who finished second, didn’t leave empty-handed either, capping off her season as the world number one.
Meanwhile, Rybakina had plenty to be pleased with from her year, especially in one area of her game that stood out.

The Kazakh fired a total of 516 aces this season, more than anyone else on the WTA Tour. Serving has always been a strength of hers, but in 2025 she took it up another level. Her dominance was clear from the numbers too.
The players who hit the most aces on the WTA Tour during 2025
As mentioned, Rybakina comfortably led the way for aces hit on the WTA Tour in 2025 with her huge tally.
Linda Noskova was next closest with 373 aces followed by Clara Tauson’s total of 358 rounding out the top three. Her fellow WTA stars Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek also featured among the top players. One name that wasn’t surprising to be missing was Coco Gauff. While she is ranked third in the world and an elite player she struggles to put up many aces due to serving issues.
A big part of Gauff’s serving problem is double faults rather than lacking power or accuracy. She should still be applauded for improving her serve over time just as Rybakina has worked hard to master hers. Both Sabalenka and Rybakina have shown how valuable a strong serve can be at this level.
Rybakina hasn’t just excelled with her serve though; she leads several other key categories too. She ranks first in first serve points won percentage and is second in both service points won percentage and service games won percentage.
In those two stats where she’s ranked second, it’s worth noting Lucie Havlickova leads but played only two matches compared to Rybakina’s 76 matches played over the season.
