Tottenham Hotspur still spent heavily on agents fees, despite not signing anyone since January 2018.
According to a report from the Sun, Tottenham have spent a staggering £11 million on agents fees during the last two transfer windows, despite not signing a single player.
Spurs last made a signing when they brought Lucas Moura to the club from Paris Saint-Germain for around £25 million in January 2018.
Tottenham are an extremely well run club from a financial perspective, but the latest figures reported by the Sun really are quite incredible.
The British tabloid claims that Spurs have spent £11 million on agents fees during the course of the past two transfer windows.
The report claims that the majority of the money went to agents acting on behalf of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela, Davinson Sanchez and Son Heung-min during their respective contract negotiations.
Tottenham will surely be looking to spend in the upcoming transfer window, but it would be no surprise to see them fail to make a single signing once again, what with their expensive move to their new stadium.
And whilst £11 million seems like a lot of cash to splash out on agents fees, the quality of the players that they have signed up to long term deals surely makes it money well spent.
