Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has said his squad is “not complete yet” as he spoke to the press ahead of the club’s opening Premier League trip to Sheffield United on Monday.
Despite bringing in Fabio Silva, Vitinha and Marcal during this transfer window, it doesn’t sound like the Wolves boss is done yet.
You could argue Wolves already have an excellent squad. Last season it was deep enough to take them to the Europa League quarter-finals and seventh in the Premier League.
However, there’s one huge problem position – right-back.

After the sale of Matt Doherty to Tottenham, Nuno doesn’t have a recognised senior option in that role.
The area is so weak Adama Traore had to play there at times last season and the former Barcelona man is preparing to start there in the Sheffield United game, according to The Daily Mail.
The Midlands-based side has been linked with Porto’s versatile right-back Jesus Corona, a man who would ease this dilemma should he arrive.

However, as things stand the alarming lack of depth on the right side of defence is a huge concern.
Nuno’s comments, at the very least, offer some hope this gaping hole will be plugged before the transfer window slams shut.
