Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker missed much of the season through injury.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker appears to have wasted no time getting back up to speed, with his performances this season matching his past standards.

Walker missed most of the early part of the campaign after picking up a serious abdomen injury last year and his return to the side has shown how important he is.

The England international was sorely missed for Spurs during his time out, but he is making up for lost time now.

Walker has got back up to speed rapidly and he actually seems to have improved on his performances from last campaign.

In a defensive sense, Walker has made more tackles, interceptions and won more defensive duels than he was doing last term and it proves that his time on the sidelines has had little impact on him.

Although the 24-year-old is not quite as much as a threat offensively as he once was, he should be able to work on his chance creation once he becomes slightly sharper.

Walker has made just 10 Premier League appearances so far this campaign, but he will be a key part of Spurs’ Champions League push until the end of the season and he looks to have the ability to be the side’s right-back for many years to come.
