Samuel L. Jackson is one of the most famous actors in Hollywood, but he is also an avid golfer.
The 76-year-old has appeared in some of the greatest films of the last 40 years, including Jurassic Park, Pulp Fiction, and Django Unchained.
Some actors would probably devote all of their free time to preparing before getting onto set. But it seems that Jackson takes a different approach – one that involves playing plenty of golf.
The golf-related clause Samuel L. Jackson has in his film contracts
Jackson began playing golf in the mid-1990s after being encouraged to take up the game by friends. And it seems that the sport quickly managed to win him over.
According to the Daily Mail, Jackson has a special clause inserted into all of his movie contracts that allows him to play at least twice a week while he is filming.

It was noted in the Mail’s report that Jackson – who featured in the celebrity match before the 2018 Ryder Cup – has previously stated that Augusta National is his favourite course.
He got the opportunity to play three rounds at the iconic home of The Masters after working on the 2006 film Freedomland.
How Samuel L. Jackson beat Tiger Woods around St Andrews
While it is hard to imagine a better experience for a golf fan than playing at Augusta National, Jackson has also played with Tiger Woods at St Andrews.
In fact, Jackson confirmed in 2022 that he actually beat Woods at The Home of Golf. While he shot 78 around The Old Course, his handicap of 16 at the time meant that he shot a net 62. He suggested that he had beaten golf’s biggest superstar by around eight shots.
More recently, Jackson’s handicap has been reported as being 6.9.
That should probably not come as too much of a surprise if the legendary actor is able to get out on the golf course at least a couple of times each week, even when he is working on his latest film.
