Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update on Giovani Lo Celso’s future at Tottenham Hotspur.
The journalist claimed last week that there has been plenty of interest from La Liga in Lo Celso, and since then, speculation about him leaving the club has only amped up.
Indeed, several outlets have reported that Juventus are looking at the Argentine midfielder, but Romano has now insisted that is not the case and that the midfielder is fully focused on his career at Spurs and that the club have his situation under control.
“Giovani Lo Celso is not negotiating with Juventus, he is focused on Tottenham. He’s not looking to leave the club, so there is nothing at the moment,” Romano said.
“For Giovani Lo Celso there is total focus on Tottenham obviously he wants to be an important player, he’s fighting for his place and it’s normal it’s a part of football, but there is nothing, he is happy at Tottenham and the situation is under control and Juventus is not working for it.”

This is certainly a reassuring update if you’re a Tottenham fan.
The midfielder leaving would be a bit of a hammer blow, but it seems as though there isn’t much danger of that happening.
Indeed, it seems as though the Argentine looks set to stay at Spurs, and what’s even more encouraging is that Romano says he has total focus on the club.
Speculation around players’ future can far too often lead to heads getting turned, but it doesn’t seem as though that’s the case for Lo Celso here.
