Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal have all been linked with Real Madrid midfielder Isco.

Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco has been linked with no fewer than four Premier League clubs.

The Mirror reported in September that Manchester United are weighing up a move for the 24-year-old in the January transfer window.

According to a report in Spanish news outlet Diario Madrista, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City are all interested in Isco (click here to read more).

Isco is a very talented and promising footballer who would enhance the quality of United, City, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Arsenal probably do not need another attacking midfielder, but there can be no doubt that the Spain international would be an asset to the Gunners.

It is hard to see at the moment how the Madrid ace could play regular first-team football for Tottenham, as the North London outfit are packed in the midfield department, but he is a player who is going to bring a winning mentality and European experience to White Hart Lane.

United and City are not exactly in need of attacking midfielders right now, but having someone of the quality of Isco is not going to hurt.

Isco is struggling to feature regularly for Madrid at the moment, having managed to play four times in La Liga so far this season.

During the 2015-16 campaign, the former Malaga star played 31 league matches for Madrid, scoring three goals and creating 43 chances in the process.

Leaving the world’s biggest club for any other team would be a step-down for any footballer, but in Isco’s case, it would make sense to leave the Santiago Bernabeu and find a side where he can get more playing time.

The problem that Arsenal, Tottenham, United and City could face in signing Isco in January or next summer is that Madrid may not be in a position to sell.

True, head coach Zinedine Zidane does not consider Isco as an automatic starter, but the Spaniard is an option off the substitutes’ bench.

As reported by BBC Sport last month, Madrid have been banned from signing players in the next two transfer windows.

BBC Sport later reported that the Spanish giants have told the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) that they will appeal against the FIFA ban, but as things stand, the 11-time European champions are not allowed to bring in anyone in January or next summer.

Why would Madrid take the risk of selling a talented and experienced player in the middle of the season when they are aiming to win La Liga and the Champions League?

Perhaps Isco could force a move, but it is Madrid who would make the final decision.
