Barcelona-linked Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen failed to play well against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.

It has been reported that Fernandez was watching Tottenham duo Christian Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez in action at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Eriksen is one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe, while Sanchez is one of the best young central defenders in the world.

While the 21-year-old centre-back produced one of his best performances in a Spurs shirt, the 25-year-old attacking midfielder failed to play well.
Tottenham fans have heavily criticised the Denmark international, as reported by HITC Sport, but every cloud has a silver lining.

One bad game does not mean that Eriksen is not a good player, but given that it was against arguably the biggest club in the world and against a team who have won the Champions League for the past two seasons, Barcelona sporting director Fernandez may not have been too impressed.
Could Eriksen’s performance dissuade Barcelona from making an offer for him next summer? Maybe. After all, the Blaugrana need players who can thrive against the best teams in the biggest competitions, and the Tottenham star failed to live up to expectations.
