Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been lauding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for his performance against Crystal Palace on Monday.
Arsenal didn’t have the best of times against the Eagles this week. They drew 2-2 and they had to rescue a point with the very last kick of the game with Alexandre Lacazette tapping home in the dying embers of the game.
All around, it wasn’t the greatest of performances from the Gunners, but one player stood out to Wright.
Indeed, the former striker stated that this game was the sharpest performance he’d ever seen from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the club.
What’s been said?
Wright was full of praise for the Gabonese forward.
“I thought this was the sharpest I’ve seen Aubameyang, did you see the work he put into this game. Auba is on some sauce bro, I thought slow down, but you watched the way Arsenal went, when we scored the goal, and it was a fantastic goal the way he finished that, his awareness and his finish, that’s what he’s all about if you get the ball into that box,” Wright said.

Great form
Aubameyang took his goal brilliantly against Palace and it looks as though the striker has rediscovered his best form.
The attacker has had a torrid last 12 months or so, failing to impress as the Gunners once again finished 8th last season, but in recent weeks he’s looked brilliant.
Fingers crossed Aubameyang can keep this level of form up and he can help Arsenal once again begin climbing the league table.
