The New York Knicks’ wait is over, and the players who delivered the franchise’s long-awaited NBA Championship are being rewarded with more than just a place in history.

This title run will always be remembered for the emotion around Madison Square Garden, the dramatic Finals swings and the way New York finally erupted when the 50-year wait came to an end.

But there is a financial reward attached to winning it all too. The Knicks’ players have earned a major bonus from the NBA playoff pool, and for the lower-salary players on the roster, the title payout is a genuinely huge addition to what they made across the season.

Knicks players set to earn around $770,000 each after NBA title win

Sportico reporter Kurt Badenhausen posted to X that each Knicks player will earn around $770,000 from the NBA for winning the championship.

That is a huge number in any context, but especially for players lower down the salary scale. Badenhausen pointed to players such as Jeremy Sochan, Pacome Dadiet and Jose Alvarado as examples of those for whom the bonus represents a massive bump.

Sochan’s listed salary is $806,000, while Dadiet is on $1.3 million and Alvarado is on $1.7 million. For players in that range, a bonus of roughly $770,000 is not just a nice extra. It is a major financial reward for being part of a championship-winning team.

For the Knicks, the biggest reward is still the banner and the end of a painful wait, but the players won’t mind the extra cash either.
