After last season’s highs and lows, this campaign the Baggies seem to be dawdling along with few stand-out moments.

Must do better: Graham Dorrans, failed to show again the Championship form which once made him hot property.
Manager: Roy Hodgson certainly steadied the ship when he arrived earlier this year, but progress seems to have stalled. There is plenty of time ahead for progress and Hodgson is renowned as a good operator in the January transfer window.
Grade: C
Verdict: Last season’s 11th place finish already looks a tough one to emulate for West Brom, but they should be hopeful of avoiding being dragged into a relegation battle. So far they have been pretty uninspiring, but there are worse teams in the division for sure, see Blackburn, Wigan, and on form Sunderland and Bolton.
Last season’s star man Peter Odemwingie has been hampered by injury scoring only once, while Irish striker Shane Long has filled in with enthusiasm scoring four times, despite missing several games after being injured by Alan Hutton. Baggies fans will be looking forward to getting them both firing together, but also frustrated it hasn’t happened so far.
