After the transfer window closed Spurs left the summer negativity behind and have transformed themselves, looking better than ever.

Manager: With an upcoming court case, a heart operation, and a vacant England job on the horizon Harry Redknapp could be forgiven for being distracted. He has shrugged off a difficult summer in the transfer market and is proving the doubters wrong.
Grade: A
Verdict: Tottenham have become the most watchable side in the Premier League in recent weeks, and there is even talk of a title charge. This seemed unlikely after a crushing 5-1 defeat to Manchester City in August, but both City and United can thank their lucky stars they caught Spurs cold, as playing them now would be an entirely different proposition.
Luka Modric is back pulling the strings, probably thankful he didn’t depart to a woeful looking Chelsea. The difference maker has been both Scott Parker in midfield, and on-loan frontman Adebayor. With Defoe itching for action on the sidelines, and Bale and Lennon returning to form Spurs are looking like a real force, with both Sandro and Steven Pienaar struggling to even get a game.
Winning against rivals Arsenal was a huge plus, and for the first time in years the club are confident of finishing the season as the number one side in north London.
