The Mapgies have exceeded all expectations and will be keen to stay in the top seven and defy the doubters who think they won’t last the pace.
Star man: Demba Ba, the frontman has exploded into life over the past few weeks after a slow start.

Must do better: It is hard to pick fault with anybody in the Newcastle side, but fans will be hoping to see Gabriel Obertan make more of a telling impact.
Manager: Alan Pardew is doing what several esteemed bosses have failed to do, make managing Newcastle seem simple and uncomplicated, and he is certainly rated very highly at present.
Grade: A
Verdict: Newcastle have had a start to the season beyond their wildest dreams, after a tough summer, losing Joey Barton and Jose Enrique. But the side have bought astutely, signing schemer Yohann Cabaye who has fitted into central midfield seamlessly alongside the highly rated Cheik Tiote. The defence has been superbly organised, Ryan Taylor has seized his chance after Enrique left and the side did well to come away from Old Trafford with a creditable although controversial draw.
The questions remain as to whether, as Pardew has acknowleged, if the Toon can hold onto their stars in January. Tiote could well be subject of a big bid as could Tim Krul, while enquiries could be made for Simpson, who is yet to agree a new contract. Whatever will happen, Pardew has proved to fans they should trust his management, and ability to rebuild, which he has done since Carroll left despite having little of the money received to spend.
