Speaking on Optus Sport, Thomas Sorensen has claimed that Jack Grealish may be back in action against Tottenham this weekend.
The ex-Villa goalkeeper was previewing the game alongside Michael Bridges, and he’s said he’s heard rumours that Grealish may return from injury for this one.
“They really need Bale to step up big time now, but because we’re really getting to the sharp end of the season and they need to catch up. They have a good record at Villa Park, but the rumour is that Grealish might be back, so that could put a spanner in the works,” Sorensen said.

If Grealish is indeed back, there couldn’t be much better timing for his return.
Aston Villa are still in that hunt for a European place, but if they are to crack the top six, they will need to overturn some of their rivals, and Tottenham are amongst the sides they’ll be desperate to leapfrog.
Grealish returning will drastically improve the Villans’ chances of getting something from the Spurs game.
It remains to be seen whether or not Sorensen’s information is correct, but we’re sure that every Villa fan in the country is hoping that Grealish is back fit and firing this weekend.
As Sorensen says, this could certainly put a spanner in the works.
