The Tottenham Hotspur duo have been superb in recent weeks.
In the build up to the January transfer window, many Tottenham Hotspur fans would have been hoping for additional investment in the squad, with a play-maker in the mould of Isco seemingly perfect for the club.
The problem is the Spaniard, Ross Barkley or anyone else for that matter would have cost a lot of money, with the Everton player having a £30million price tag (according to the Daily Express) and Isco likely to be available for a similar amount.
All the time Tottenham were struggling for goals and wins, a big-money move in January seemed necessary, but not anymore.

Dele Alli may have generated all the headlines after three straight braces, but he is not the only resurgent Tottenham player deserving praise.
Christian Eriksen was superb in the 2-0 victory against Chelsea, laying on the chances for Alli to convert, while his all-round display and recent showings prove he is well and truly back to his best.

With Alli scoring and Eriksen bossing games like never before, suddenly a January signing could be seen as upsetting the apple cart rather than saving Tottenham’s season.
Neither Isco nor Barkley would do any better than Alli and Eriksen have in recent games, and while strength in depth is crucial for all top teams the sensible option is to wait until the summer before any more big names to White Hart Lane.
