Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds, Angus Kinnear has outlined the club’s summer transfer strategy, claiming that they will follow a similar strategy to the one they had last summer.
The Whites of course spent close to £100m last year, signing some huge names in the process who have helped them secure a comfortable position in their first season back in the top-flight.
It doesn’t seem as though the Yorkshire club are going to rest on their laurels though, with Kinnear claiming that Leeds are targeting more world-class talent this summer.
“I think that the players we’ve signed could all feature in top six teams, and that’s the remit going forward, we want players who could feature in top six teams,” Kinnear said.
“You know, we talk about Raphinha who is uncapped, but we secured a full Spanish international centre-half, a full German international centre-half and Spain’s number nine.
“I think that gives a sense of the ambition and I think the recruitment strategy will be similar on that front, we want players and we want to get world class talent in.”

This is such an exciting update.
12 months ago Leeds were in the Championship wondering if they were going to get promoted, and now their CEO is talking about signing world-class players.
It will be interesting to see which positions Leeds target this summer. It looks as though a left-back will be coming in, but beyond that, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where the squad needs improving.
The Whites will certainly be a team to keep an eye on in the summer window.
