Glasgow Rangers are close to sealing a move for prolific young striker Alfredo Morelos, according to Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat.
The Scottish Sun report new Gers assistant boss Jonatan Johansson recommended the HJK Helsinki striker to Pedro Caixinha.
He scored 21 goals in his last 25 games and at just 20-years-old is a very exciting prospect.

So why is a talent Colombian striker playing on the other side of the globe in Finland?
Morelos explained his move to Spanish newspaper AS last year.
He told: “The possibility was because I was unhappy in Medellin; we had no competition and I was not playing. My representative told me that it was a small club in Colombia or a team in Finland.
“I decided on that option because it was the best thing for me and I was going to show myself to other bigger clubs in Europe. And that’s what happened: I did very well and there are many teams interested.”

Discussing his future at the time, he openly admitted HJK Helsinki was his stepping stone to a bigger club.
He added: “The idea is to go to a bigger league here in Europe and do the same thing I did in Finland.”
The Scottish Premiership is a more famous league than Finland’s Veikkausliiga, and Rangers would allow Morelos to achieve his goal.
While he could one day leave Rangers high and dry, that isn’t anything to worry about in the here and now. If he can reproduce his form in Finland, the Gers simply need to enjoy him while they can.
