There are interesting facts a plenty in this summer’s net spend league table.
In March we took a look at the ‘staggering disparities‘ of the clubs in the Premier League by net spend over the past five seasons.
Manchester City predictably topped the table, spending £430.77 million on their way to reach the Premier League title, followed by Chelsea on £159.7 million.
By contrast at the bottom of the table were Newcastle on -£30.25 million, and Arsenal on -£31.3 million.
So with the summer transfer window now out of the way, it’s time for us to take a fresh look at the big spenders and the thrifty dealers.
