Given the consistent off the field shambles, it would be surprising if this player remained at The City Ground.

As is the case with every transfer window, fans go through every day with a mixture of excitement and dread – excitement about who could be coming in, and dread at who may be sold.
Given the way in which Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi has sold off the club’s youngsters in the past – on a few occasions, without informing the manager – it seems likely that this summer could see the end of Ben Brereton’s time at The City Ground.
The 17-year-old, who was recently called up to the England U19’s, is another academy graduate who seems destined for the Premier League, as despite only making his debut in January, the wonderkid has three goals in 10 Championship appearances.
Liverpool are rumoured to be incredibly interested in the youngster, as reports The Sun, with Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp apparently very keen to work with Brereton.

The report suggests the academy graduate could be available for £10m, which may sound like a lot – and indeed, could finance Forest’s transfer window spend – but given Brereton’s potential, it will seem cheap in a few years.
However, leopards don’t tend to change their spots, so if Brereton was to be sold in the summer, sadly for Forest fans, the only surprise would be the player’s destination.
