Speaking on the All To Play For Podcast, Joe Cole has been previewing Manchester City vs Liverpool, and he’s reserved special praise for Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz.
The ex-Liverpool man argued that this match is the pinnacle of modern football, claiming that both squads are absolutely unbelievable.
Cole complimented Liverpool’s recruitment and their ability to flesh-out their squad, stating that Diaz and Jota have both been utterly sensational since arriving.

“I agree, this is the pinnacle of football, these two teams are incredible, not just the teams, the squads. Klopp’s signings, bringing the lad Diaz in, Jota, they’ve both been sensational, this Sunday will be an unbelievable game,” Cole said.
Looked impossible
This time three years ago, it looked like Liverpool would eventually have an almost impossible task when it comes to replacing their famous front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, but now, they’re two-thirds of the way there.
Jota has completely usurped Firmino, while Diaz is well on his way to replacing Mane in Jurgen Klopp’s best XI.
Of course, the Reds may soon face the unenviable task of finding a replacement for Mohamed Salah, but as Diaz and Jota have shown, the Merseyside club don’t often get their recruitment wrong.
