Another eventful PGA Tour season has wrapped up, with Sami Valimaki’s win at The RSM Classic providing a fitting conclusion.
Valimaki made a bit of history, becoming the first Finnish player to win on the PGA Tour after edging out the competition by one stroke at Sea Island Golf Club.
Fans have seen plenty of standout moments throughout 2025, including Rory McIlroy’s Masters victory and Europe’s Ryder Cup win over the USA.
On the women’s side, world number one Jeeno Thitikul set a new LPGA scoring record with her recent victory at the CME Group Tour Championship.
He hit 60 consecutive fairways on the PGA Tour in 2025

Max McGreevy is one player who quietly put together an impressive streak of his own.
Across almost four-and-a-half rounds, McGreevy hit 60 straight fairways – a remarkable run that stands as the second-longest since records began in 1992.
The current record is held by Adam Long, who hit 69 consecutive fairways during the first round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship in November 2023.
Long’s run surpassed the long-standing mark set by Brian Claar, who had held the record with 59 straight fairways in 1992.
Max McGreevy’s PGA Tour career, rankings and history
Despite his impressive accuracy on the fairways, McGreevy did not manage to secure a win during the 2025 PGA Tour season. In fact, he is still searching for his first career victory.
The American, who turned professional in 2017, has played in 98 events on the PGA Tour without a win to date.
McGreevy has been the runner-up twice, notably a close second to Valimaki at The RSM Classic in Georgia. He has also made the cut in 39 of his 98 starts.
His total earnings are $4,135,170 over that span and he ended the season ranked just ahead of Jordan Spieth at number 60 in the FedExCup standings.
Sitting within that range from spots 51-60 has also allowed McGreevy to qualify for both the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and The Genesis Invitational next season.
