Gareth Bale might be the best but another Tottenham player is the worst as we run through our selection of the Premier League’s worst players this season.
Last night saw the Premier League host its biggest award ceremony of the year as Gareth Bale walked away with both the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year awards following in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and Andy Gray as players who have won the two awards in the same year.
While competition was certainly fierce across the board I find it hard to believe anyone would have begrudged the Welsh international both his accolades after another excellent season for the 23-year-old.
Essentially last night is the Premier League’s version of the film industries Academy Award ceremony; where the crème de la crème of talent get suited and booted for a gala occasion and are celebrated by their peers.
So with that tradition comes the Golden Raspberry Awards, colloquially known as the ‘Razzies’.
So if we were to arrange our own such award who would be in line to receive recognition for their low level of performance rather than their spectacular achievements.
Here are our suggestions.
