Some Liverpool fans on social media have been discussing Marko Grujic after his performance against Chelsea in the Champions League.
It’s not often that you see one of your loan players in a Champions League quarter-final, but Liverpool’s incredible depth in the middle of the park means that they’ve had to loan out the Serbian again this term.
It’s fair to say that he’s been doing quite well at Porto, helping them towards the latter stages of UEFA’s premier competition, and while the Portuguese outfit were beaten by Chelsea on Wednesday, Grujic was one of the standout performers.
Indeed, the midfielder put in what has to be described as a dominant showing, winning five aerial duels, making three dribbles and earning a WhoScored rating of 7.01.
As you can imagine, this showing had Liverpool fans talking, and it’s fair to say they were impressed by him.
Indeed, plenty of supporters made a case for him having a future at Anfield, while others branded him a baller.
Whether or not he is brought back into the fold by Jurgen Klopp remains to be seen, but based on this performance, he could have something to offer.
