Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian has raved about his teammate Diogo Jota on the club’s official website.

The Spaniard has been impressed by how the former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger has played for the defending Premier League champions so far.

The former West Ham United goalkeeper has outlined the attributes of Jota, and has hailed his pace, shooting and dribbling skills.

Adrian told Liverpool’s official website about Jota: “He’s impressive, he’s doing really well. From the first moment he came into the team, he’s showing the quality, the pace that he has, the intensity, the dribbling, shooting.

“He’s a hard worker and it’s a good compliment to our players. I think he showed in the last few games that he played, he’s in a great level. So he’s going to help us a lot.”

Liverpool spell

Jota joined Liverpool from Premier League rivals Wolves in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old winger has made one start and two substitute appearances in the league for the defending English champions, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.

The Portugal international has also played 31 minutes in the Europa League for Liverpool, according to WhoScored.

Making an impact

Jota has done well in the minutes that he has got for Liverpool so far this season, and one suspects that the winger’s importance in the team will grow in the coming weeks and months.

With Liverpool having world-class attacking players in Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, it is not going to be easy for the winger to play week in and week out from the start, but he could still make an impact as a substitute.
