Jack Harrison has shared that a goal he scored in Leeds United training left the opposition team ‘so mad’, as he told Soccer AM on Sky Sports.

The Leeds winger was making reference to Marcelo Bielsa’s famous ‘murderball’ session and how he scored a goal, despite the ball going out of the play in the build-up.

Many Leeds players have spoken about how they have to take part in the gruelling session, which involves non-stop football because there are no fouls, throw-ins or free-kicks.

It’s designed to test the players’ fitness and increase their ability to perform at such high intensity and at any given moment.

That’s a reason why Leeds United’s matches are so gung-ho, full of action and like a FIFA game on the Playstation.

This is what Harrison had to say about one particular moment at Thorp Arch that left those on the opposite team unhappy.

“There are no fouls,” said Harrison. “There are a lot of fouls that should be called.

“Even today, I got away with a little, I was a bit sneaky today. The ball went out of play by about this much (small margin).

“But I just continued to play because I knew what the coaches are like. I did a one-two and we ended up scoring.

“The other team was so mad. They were like, ‘it was out, it was out’. But they just like the play to be continuous and intense.”

Harrison returned to the Leeds scoresheet recently and he will be hoping to take that with him in their FA Cup encounter on Sunday.

The Whites are in the capital as they face off against fellow Premier League side West Ham United in the Third Round.

West Ham are doing very well in the Premier League and they can afford to play a strong or strong(er) side.

But with Leeds hovering above the relegation zone, will Bielsa play his strongest XI possible, especially given their recent injury woes?
