Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has told The Times that he does not plan to sell the club now.

Radrizzani has made it clear that he is fully committed to Leeds, having guided the Whites back to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

The West Yorkshire outfit have won the Championship title this season and will play in the top flight of English football in 2020-21.

A report in 90min earlier this week claimed that the owners of NFL franchise, the San Francisco 49ers, are interested in buying Leeds from Radrizzani.

The owners of the 49ers already own a 10% stake in the West Yorkshire outfit, with the Italian businessman set to make £250 million if he sells his share in the club, according to the report.

Radrizzani told The Times in an interview published at 5pm today when asked if he will sell Leeds now: “I am 100 per cent committed. People always said, ‘Ah, you’re going to go up and sell’. Actually, it’s the opposite.

“The interest of the club is always top for me. If one day I’d like to open the door to a partner to help, that I consider added value to this club to close the gap with the bigger clubs, of course I will be sitting down and listening. But I want to control the club and develop it.”

Leeds United stay

Radrizzani has been superb for Leeds, and that way he has gone about his business has been laudable.

Getting a manager of the calibre of Marcelo Bielsa was a huge coup, and the Italian businessman has also invested money and has kept his best players at the club despite the disappointment of missing out on promotion in 2018-19.
