Tottenham fans are pleased to hear that Davinson Sanchez ‘never’ considered leaving the club in January, as he told his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old’s form has started to pick up in recent weeks and it is giving a lot of Spurs fans hope.
Throughout the campaign, like many of Tottenham’s centre-backs, they have all been chopped and changed quite regularly because of their lack of form.
Sanchez has been no different!
But after his blunt comments about his future, the Spurs faithful are now backing him to continue his recent rise because they feel the team can be built around him at the back.
It’s been nearly four years since Daniel Levy put £40 million (Sky Sports) on the table for the Ajax academy product.
And whilst there is still belief amongst the Tottenham fans that he can reach the top, many perhaps expected him to be a more accomplished figure than he currently is in North London.
It wasn’t long ago, he was making defensive mistakes during his side’s FA Cup defeat to Everton then falling flat on his face against Manchester City.
But that form has turned the other way now and he will be hoping that continues during these next few days, which include a Europa League clash and a North London derby.
Nonetheless, Spurs fans have reacted to Sanchez’s comments about not even considering a move during the winter transfer window:
