Micah Richards has said on BBC Radio 5 Live that he has doubts over Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus.

The former Manchester City star has noted that Jesus is not scoring enough goals for Arsenal at the moment.

The BBC Sport pundit has said that the £45 million (SkySports) summer signing from Manchester City needs to be more clinical.

Richards has said that City striker Erling Haaland is scoring goals from the chances this season that Jesus was missing in 2021-22.

Norway international striker Haaland moved to City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old has scored 18 goals and given three assists in 11 Premier League starts, and has scored five goals in four UEFA Champions League matches for Pep Guardiola’s side so far this season.

Richards said about Jesus: “At times he would miss chances, chances that Haaland is finishing, sometimes Jesus would not put them away.”

The pundit added: “They are going to need him to be more clinical if they are going to push right to the end, and that is the only question I will have with (Jesus).”
