Tony Cottee has said on Twitter that Everton should appoint Sean Dyche as their new manager now that they have sacked Frank Lampard.

The former Everton striker believes that Dyche is the only manager who can rescue the Toffees.

Everton are in dire state at the moment and could genuinely get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

The Toffees are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 15 points from 20 matches, two points behind 17th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.

On Monday, Everton decided to sack Chelsea legend Lampard as their manager.

The right manager for Everton?

In our view, Sean Dyche would be a good managerial appointment for Everton.

The 51-year-old worked wonders at Burnley and kept the Clarets in the Premier League for years.

True, Burnley did not play great football under Dyche, but you have to consider that the Englishman did not have the best of players at Turf Moor and did not spend a lot of money.

Dyche knows how to stave off relegation to the Championship, and he can also build teams.

We think that Everton should seriously consider hiring the 51-year-old, who is available right now as he is without a managerial job at the moment.
