Micah Richards has given his verdict on Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo after watching him in action against Luton Town.
The former Manchester City star has noted how Mainoo was playing differently from the other United players in the Premier League game.
So, what has Micah Richards said about Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo? Let’s take a look.
Micah Richards praises Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo
Well, Manchester United beat Luton Town 2-1 away from home in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
While Rasmus Hojlund has been getting a lot of plaudits for his brace, former Manchester City player and Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards has noted how Kobbie Mainoo affected the game.

The pundit has noted that Mainoo was very composed during his time on the pitch and always maintained his calm even when things were getting frantic.
Mainoo started alongside Casemiro in a two-man holding midfield in a 4-2-3-1 formation. The midfielder had very good control of the ball, passed it well, and played with a lot of maturity.
Richards said about Mainoo on The Rest is Football podcast: “It’s just his, like, composure. You know, when in the game today, when the game was getting a little bit frantic, he was the only one really able to get his foot on the ball and still be calm in possession.”
My View: Kobbie Mainoo is a rising star
In my opinion, Kobbie Mainoo has been one of the best teenage footballers in the Premier League this season and is starting to establish himself in the Manchester United starting lineup.
Mainoo is only 18 now, but he is playing with a lot of maturity. United are arguably the biggest club in England, but the midfielder, who could get a new contract, does not seem to be fazed by playing for the Red Devils.
I think that Mainoo is a gem of a footballer, and I have to say that we have to give United manager Erik ten Hag credit for using him.
Mainoo has scored one goal in 11 Premier League matches and has played 42 minutes in the UEFA Champions League for United this season. The midfielder, who is rated highly by Paul Merson, has also scored one goal in two FA Cup appearances for the Red Devils this campaign.
