Alan Shearer has stated that Liverpool duo, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah, were ‘the only positives’ during their 2-2 draw against Fulham on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were expecting all three points at Craven Cottage, and nothing less against the newly-promoted team but Shearer shared that Fulham were ‘outstanding’ against the Premier League title contenders, as he told BBC Sport.
The Reds had to come from behind on two occasions to seal a point on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season, with champions Manchester City seeing off West Ham United thanks to a brace from Erling Haaland on Sunday.

There has been a lot of talk about the two new attacking stars arriving in England’s top-flight this summer and they have started off life in a brilliant fashion.
Klopp won’t have much to cheer about from the weekend’s result or performance, but Shearer did highlight Salah and Nunez as the only things to smile about.
“Yes, absolutely (Nunez and Salah) were the only positives for Liverpool,” said Shearer. “I thought Fulham were outstanding in how they went at Liverpool.
“But the positives for Liverpool were Nunez when he came on and, of course, Salah.”

NUNEZ THE IMPACT SUB
With Divock Origi out of the door, it’s Nunez now supplying those goals from the bench, following his game-changing performance in the Community Sheild and now at Fulham.
But for how long will it last and will Klopp now start to make changes?
Roberto Firmino has been the one to lead the line in his own unique way for Liverpool during these first few games, and if Nunez is to start, then it will be for the Brazil star.
Liverpool will want to put up their first win of the season next Monday when Patrick Vieira and his Crystal Palace side make the trip down to Merseyside.
Given Nunez’s recent displays, there is a high chance he might just be named in the starting XI, especially given that he will also be making his home debut.
