Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after footage of Dominik Szoboszlai impressing for RB Leipzig emerged.
What’s the story?
Well, Arsenal fans may remember the name.
Back in December 2020, The Athletic revealed that Szoboszlai was a January transfer target for the Gunners.
At the time, the 17-cap Hungary international had a release clause of just £22.6m.
Eventually, Mikel Arteta and Edu opted to sign Martin Ødegaard on loan, as Szoboszlai moved to RB Leipzig.
It was an odd decision, in our view, as the 21-year-old cemented himself as one of the best playmakers in Europe during his time at RB Salzburg.
Now, Arsenal fans are regretting the fact they lost out, after footage of his phenomenal assist against Greuther Fürth emerged.
Impressively, Szoboszlai scored 26 goals and provided 35 assists in 83 appearances for the Austrian outfit, before moving to Germany.
Arsenal should kick themselves over Dominik Szoboszlai

After a slow start at RB Leipzig, where he failed to make an appearance in 2020/21 due to adductor problems (Transfermarkt), Szoboszlai is now thriving.
The Hungarian wizard has scored three goals while also providing three assists in eight Bundesliga outings this season.
Szoboszlai also has two goals in two DFB-Pokal games, in what has been a fantastic individual campaign so far.
For just £22.6m, we can’t help but feel Arsenal missed out on a bargain.

Of course, Ødegaard is a fine player himself, and will surely continue to get better and better at the Emirates Stadium.
However, Szoboszlai looks like he has Ballon d’Or potential, in our view.
Now, his next move will surely be to a European giant such as Bayern Munich or Real Madrid – the Gunners may have missed the boat.
For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about the footage of Szoboszlai…
