Manchester City are expected to stay quiet on deadline day, but Kalvin Phillips could still leave before the window closes.

With recent signings already completed and no further arrivals anticipated, the focus has shifted towards potential late exits.

One unresolved situation for Manchester City continues to linger as the final hours of the window approach.

Manchester City unlikely to add more new faces

Manchester City have wrapped up their main business early in the window, leaving little expectation of any late additions.

Reporting from the Etihad Campus, Sky Sports reporter Ben Ransom noted that other clubs have been impressed with how efficiently City completed their recent deals.

He also confirmed that while new signings appear unlikely, City have recalled Sverre Nypan from his loan spell at Middlesbrough.

Kalvin Phillips could still leave before the deadline

Kalvin Phillips remains the only unresolved situation within Manchester City’s senior squad as deadline day continues.

Ben Ransom explained that Phillips has been available throughout the window, with interest reported earlier, but no move has materialised so far.

After a difficult spell since joining from Leeds, Phillips is viewed as the one senior player who could still move before the transfer window closes.
