Paul Merson has said that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will not join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The former Arsenal star made the comments on Sky Sports News (12:17pm, April 29, 2023) while analysing the need for the Gunners to sign a new striker for next season and beyond.
Merson believes that Kane, 29, will leave Tottenham at the end of the season.
However, the Sky Sports pundit is confident that the England international striker will not move to Spurs’ bitter North London rivals Arsenal.
Harry Kane won’t leave Tottenham Hotspur for Arsenal
Merson said: “Harry Kane for me is the one. He probably will go, but he won’t be going to Arsenal.”
HITC Verdict: Never going to happen
Okay, we have had players in the past who have played for both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Sol Campbell left Tottenham and joined Arsenal on a free transfer.

Wiliam Gallas played for Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.
But, we are confident that Kane will not leave Tottenham and move to Arsenal.
Never.
Not only will Kane himself not want to cross the North London divide, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will also make sure that his most prized asset not join their arch rivals Arsenal.
And Arsenal themselves are not going to move for a player who will never join them.
