Some Liverpool fans on social media have been raving over James Norris after his performance for the Reds’ U19s on Wednesday.
The Merseyside club’s youth outfit beat their Porto counterparts 4-0 as they progressed to the last 16 of the UEFA Youth League, and once again, there were a few standout performers.
Norris got on the scoresheet against Porto and he covered every single blade of grass on Wednesday.
A left-back by trade, Norris was played in a more advanced role against Porto, and it seems as though that extra element of freedom allowed the 18-year-old to showcase his abilities more prominently.
One fan even dubbed him the new Steve Nicol, and if he can go on to have a career even half as good as the Anfield legend then he will be a serious player.
