Jose Mourinho has raved about Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in The Times.
Mourinho worked with Kane when he was in charge of Tottenham, and the former Manchester United and Chelsea manager is still a fan of the England international striker.
The Portuguese was sacked as the Spurs head coach last month, just days before the Carabao Cup final against Premier League rivals Manchester City.
Mourinho has said that the last time he had a striker in his team who had similar movements to Kane was Karim Benzema.
The Portuguese worked with the French striker when he was the manager of Spanish and European giants Real Madrid.
Mourinho told The Times: “The way Harry Kane is playing now, doing the movements he does. When was the last time I had a striker doing this? Benzema!
“Because Didier Drogba was not that, Ibrahimovic was not that, Lukaku was not that. So sometimes the statistics don’t fit into the reality.”

Huge praise
Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and is a regular goalscorer. It is very encouraging to see Mourinho rave about the striker despite him being no longer at the club.
The 27-year-old actually evolved under Mourinho this season. The England international has played as a number 10 and has dropped deep to build attacks this campaign.
It shows just how adaptable Kane is and how he is keen on adding facets to his game, and it also demonstrates just how good Mourinho is getting the best out of his players.
According to WhoScored, Kane has scored 21 goals and provided 13 assists in the Premier League this season, and scored three goals and provided two assists in the Europa League for Spurs this season.
