Tottenham flop Moussa Sissoko has been linked to Barcelona.
Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko… probably not heading for the Nou Camp
With the Premier League season drawing to a close, the transfer rumour mill is just getting started up. But it might have peaked already.
The most unlikely rumour you might hear all summer is doing the rounds, with Spanish outlet Don Balon claiming Tottenham are offering Moussa Sissoko to Barcelona.
Now either Daniel Levy has completely lost it, or is trying to salvage his reputation after spending big money on the Newcastle midfielder last summer, or both.
Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy
Sissoko has turned out to be a predictably terrible signing for Spurs, failing to carve out a place in their first team and making only seven Premier League starts.
He has been a waste of money and a summer exit is inevitable, but a move to Barcelona is surely not on the radar.

Now, it should be noted that the Catalans once bought Alex Song from Arsenal, and Tottenham did miraculously manage to flog Benjamin Stambouli to Paris Saint-Germain, but this one seems like it is more a case of Sissoko’s agent working over time to drum up some positive publicity for his client
Given the wretched season Sissoko has had at Tottenham, it is hard to see him suddenly filling Andres Iniesta’s boots, even if Barcelona were told they could have him on a free transfer.
