Tottenham fans have reacted to Hugo Lloris’s display after he helped France win the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.
Lloris added another trophy to his cabinet when he starred in between the sticks by pulling off a number of saves against a Spain side that had taken the lead at the San Siro.
As the game was ticking down to the final whistle, Lloris pulled off a number of point-blank range saves to ensure he was the one lifting the trophy at the end of the game.
Spurs fans were left in awe of their French keeper and how he isn’t appreciated enough in the game.
That’s the FIFA World Cup and now the UEFA Nations League that Lloris has won on the international stage now.
Whilst it was joy for one Spurs player, it was heartbreak for a few others, with Sergio Reguilon and Bryan Gil on the losing side.
There’s no doubt that Spurs fans will be hoping Lloris can bring some of that winning feeling to the domestic stage.
It helps when you have players of the calibre of Kylian Mbappe in your squad, but that doesn’t mean Spurs were never in very strong positions to lift silverware over the years but ended up blowing it.
Either way, it’s more success for Lloris, who will probably feature in his last major tournament for his country next year at the World Cup in Qatar.
