Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has been linked with West Ham United.
Calciomercato has reported this month that West Ham are interested in signing Chelsea striker Giroud in the summer transfer window.
Crystal Palace are also reportedly interested in the former Arsenal striker, who is out of contract at Chelsea this summer and will become a free agent.
West Ham have not really replaced Sebastien Haller since he left, with Michail Antonio playing upfront.
Antonio is not a natural striker, and at times it shows.
For the Hammers to do better than this season and to break into the top four, they need a proven goalscorer.
Enter Giroud.
The France international may be 34 years of age, but he is hugely experienced and can score goals if played to his strengths.

Gary Lineker would know a thing or two about strikers.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and England international striker is a huge fan of Giroud, as shown below.
Lineker made the aforementioned post about Giroud while watching the Frenchman in action for Chelsea against Leeds in December 2020.
The former Arsenal striker scored in the 27th minute, as the Blues got the better of Marcelo Bielsa’s side 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League game.
