Jamie Carragher told Paramount+ on CBS Sports on Tuesday evening that rumoured Liverpool target, Christian Pulisic, is the ‘most talented’ at Chelsea.

Whilst Liverpool suffered a now-costly 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid in their Champions League quarter-final first leg, Chelsea secured a valuable 1-1 draw in the semi-finals last night, with Pulisic scoring his side’s opening goal.

It was a well-taken finish from the American, who showed composure and a clinical nature that a manager like Jurgen Klopp would love.

When reacting to his performance in Madrid last night, this is what Carragher had to say about Pulisic and his injury-hit talents.

“The way the manager sets up there are three attacking players,” said Carragher. “And for me, the most talented, or two of the most talented are Mount and Pulisic.

“I don’t think it’s a doubt of whether he’s good enough or whether he plays for the manager, it’s just whether he stays fit for the manager, long enough and consistent enough.

“But in terms of ability-wise, out of all those attacking players we see on the bench for Chelsea and those that are playing, he would play, I am convinced of that.

“I have said he can be a real star in the Premier League and the Champions League.”

The Daily Mail did claim in March that Liverpool were a number of clubs monitoring the left-footed power machine, with Klopp keen on his talents this summer.

Liverpool’s forward line needs refreshing, and with Pulisic showing versatility by also playing out on the right, there might just be something bubbling under the surface.

Plus, given the £58 million star’s (BBC Sport) style, the speed in his legs, an explosive nature to his game, the ability to play on the shoulder and be intelligent enough to pick up clever spaces when coming from the flanks, there is no doubt that he would suit Liverpool down to the bone.
