Speaking on the Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, Alasdair Gold has claimed that Nuno Espirito Santo is very excited about Cristian Romero after he joined Spurs.
Gold of course has close links to Tottenham, and he actually spoke to the Spurs boss over the weekend about the Argentine.
Gold didn’t relay what Nuno said about Romero, but he said the gaffer was the most excited he’d ever seen him when he was speaking about the Argentine.

Gold spoke about Nuno’s excitement surrounding Romero.
“Romero, my goodness, we’ll speak about him in a little bit I’m sure, but I asked Espirito Santo about him on Sunday, and it was probably the most excited I’ve ever seen Espirito Santo, he doesn’t seem like a man who gets very excited, and of course, we know there’s more to come,” Gold said.
Every right to be excited
Nuno Espirito Santo has every right to be excited about Romero at Spurs.
The Argentine is a fantastic defender, having just won Serie A Defender of the Year, and he should add some real steel to the club’s backline.
Spurs need to improve on last season, and the addition of Romero is certainly a step in the right direction.
The manager’s excitement may soon be shared by the fanbase once the 23-year-old gets up and running in the Premier League.
