The Manchester United striker gave his teenage strike partner a standing ovation.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has had little chance to impress his new manager Jose Mourinho so far this summer after his extended break following the European Championships.
But the 18-year-old showed what he could do after coming off the bench against Galatasaray on Saturday.

Rashford used his pace, technical ability and confidence to bamboozle the Turkish side’s defence and win a penalty that was calmly converted by Wayne Rooney, but it was something that happened off the pitch in that moment that is perhaps most telling.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic had marked his United debut with a spectacular goal of his own yet even the Swede was left in awe of Rashford’s talent.

After the England player won the penalty, Ibrahimovic got to his feet to applaud Rashford, before exchanging a look with Ander Herrera that clearly hinted that he was pleasantly surprised at his strike partner’s ability.
It was a telling moment from a player who is used to getting others on their feet. After all, when one of football’s brightest stars cannot quite believe his eyes, it shows just how good the United youngster is.
