Tony Cascarino does not seem to rate Aston Villa youngster Jack Grealish too highly.

Former Chelsea and Celtic striker Tony Cascarino has written in The Times that Jack Grealish is the Mesut Ozil of the Championship.

Grealish is on the books of Aston Villa at the moment and is an important player for the club.

The 21-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, is very talented, but he lacks consistency and is far from the finished article.

Cascarino, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, believes that Grealish is the Ozil of the Championship. The Arsenal attacking midfielder is one of the best players in Europe, but there are occasions when he goes missing.

“Jack Grealish is talented but is not producing the goods — the Mesut Ozil of the Championship,” Cascarino wrote in The Times.

Grealish has scored three goals and created 23 chances in 24 Championship appearances for Villa so far this season.

During the 2015-16 campaign, the youngster scored one goal and created 12 chances in 16 Premier League matches for the Villans.

Ozil has scored five goals and created 59 chances in 22 Premier League games for Arsenal so far this campaign.

The Germany international scored six goals and created 144 chances in 35 league matches for the Gunners last season.
