Some Leeds United fans on social media have been praising Kalvin Phillips after his performance against West Ham United.
The midfielder returned to the first-team after a spell out with injury against the Hammers, and he faced a tough task as he had to compete in midfield against Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.
Things didn’t go his way the whole time, but it’s fair to say he held his own, especially when you consider he’s not played in a number of weeks.
Leeds fans of course love Phillips, so it’s not surprising to see him getting praise, and to be fair, he deserves a lot of credit for coming back and putting in such a strong performance after his injury issues.
United have hit a bit of a tricky patch in recent weeks, and if they’re going to pull themselves out of it, they’ll need Phillips to be back at his very best on a consistent basis.
