Speaking on his YouTube channel, Express journalist Ryan Taylor has been discussing Liverpool’s hunt for a new midfielder and Jude Bellingham.
The Englishman has long been linked with a move to the Reds, and according to Taylor, the Borussia Dortmund star is the Reds’ number one midfield target.
Indeed, the journalist says that Bellingham is the main name in the frame as Liverpool target a midfield addition, but sadly, he states that this move would probably be one for next summer.

Taylor shared what he knows about Bellingham.
“Jude Bellingham is the main name in the frame, we expect him to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer. Haaland’s move to Manchester City means that he’s unlikely to depart Dortmund this year as they don’t want to keep losing multiple big players in one transfer window,” Taylor said.
“I do think that Liverpool will look at the market to see if there are any options that tickle their fancy, but they don’t make signings unless they are 100 per cent set and Jurgen Klopp approves it as well.”
Eyes on the prize
Liverpool may well be tempted to accelerate their plans to sign an elite midfielder after an injury to Thiago, but the Reds could end up kicking themselves for years if they jump the gun and miss out on Bellingham as a result.
Make no mistake about it, Bellingham is a once-in-a-generation player, and if Liverpool’s lack of patience costs them the chance to bring him to Anfield, they will regret it.
The Reds will be tempted to sign a midfielder this summer, but they need to keep their eyes on the prize and continue to work towards building their team for the future with Bellingham as the potential centrepiece.
Liverpool may suffer this season in the midfield, but it will all be worth it in the end if they can sign Bellingham.
