Tim Sherwood outlined on Sky Sports News (1:48pm, December 5, 2020) what Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should tell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to get him firing again.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager said that he does not like the body language of Aubameyang at the moment.

The Englishman, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, added that 19-year-old England international Bukayo Saka, who can operate as a left-back or as a left-winger, has been Arsenal’s best player this season.

Sherwood said on Sky Sports News (1:48pm, December 5, 2020): “I don’t like his body language, to be perfectly honest. I would have a word with him if I was his manager, saying, ‘Look, you are the talisman. You are the one who signed a new contract. We are relying on you. You need to pick everyone up and you need to take them with you’.”

The former Aston Villa boss added: “The best player they have got this season is a kid from the academy, Saka. He is the only shining light they have got this year.”

Stepping up tonight

Aubameyang will know that he needs to step up his game, especially tonight in the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Sherwood’s advice is sensible.

According to WhoScored, the striker has scored two goals and provided one assist in 10 Premier League matches and has found the back of the net just once in one Europa League game.

The striker is going through a bad spell, and Arsenal boss Arteta will have to get him firing again. Perhaps tonight against Tottenham in the North London derby Aubameyang will turn on the style and get his form back.
