Leeds United fans have been voting for the player that they would not mind seeing the back of this month.
The results from HITC Sport’s poll looking at the Leeds United player fans would not mind to see the back of this month are in. But which player did Whites supporters suggest they would not mind seeing sold this month?
3. Toumani Diagouraga (15%)
Leeds United’s Toumani Diagouraga
The player who takes the bronze medal – well clear of Ross Turnbull and Lee Erwin, who both collected 4 per cent of the vote – is Toumani Diagouraga. The midfielder has played once this season for the Whites, and has joined Ipswich Town on loan. He will be hoping that if the loan move doesn’t see him move up the pecking order at Elland Road, it does enough to earn him a move elsewhere.
2. Matt Grimes (19%)
Matt Grimes is a talented player, but unfortunately his loan move to Leeds has not worked out, largely down to the tremendous depth that Garry Monk’s squad already boasts in midfield. A termination of his loan spell would be a fairly popular decision – perhaps even with the player himself – as almost a fifth of Leeds supporters who voted said they would not mind seeing him leave.
1. Giuseppe Bellusci – permanently (57%)
Leeds United’s Giuseppe Bellusci
It says a lot about what supporters think of Giuseppe Bellusci that despite the shortage of centre-backs in Monk’s squad, not only do fans not want him back early from his loan spell but many would also rather see Leeds find a way for the club to get him off the books permanently. On his day, he could be inspirational but the mistakes he made during his time at Elland Road were much too frequent.
