Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after The Athletic reported that Harvey Elliott could be back in first-team training next month.

The midfielder dislocated his ankle against Leeds back in September, and, at the time, the injury he sustained looked very serious.

Indeed, physios sprinted onto the pitch, Pascal Struijk was sent off and Elliott had to leave in an ambulance.

However, fortunately, it seems as though the teenager will be back in action sooner rather than later, with The Athletic claiming that if all goes to plan he’ll be back training next month.

This is great news and as you can imagine, Liverpool fans are buzzing to hear that the teenage prodigy could be on the brink of returning.

Fingers crossed Elliott can hit the ground running upon his return and force his way back into Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI as soon as possible.

Here’s what the Anfield faithful have been saying on social media…
