Sunderland, Stoke City and West Ham United should be concerned by their starts to the campaign.
While the first seven games of the Premier League have been good for the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool it has not been so good for others.
Sunderland currently find themselves bottom of the table without a win in the league so far.
Stoke City sit once place ahead of them after also failing to pick up a victory but having lost one fewer game than the Black Cats.
West Ham United finish off the bottom three as they sit in 18th place with four points to their name, level with Swansea City ahead of them.
While none of the three teams will be too concerned about relegation at this early stage of the campaign they will all be concerned about their starts.
However, one stat should have them determined to turn things around after the international break and that is how many teams have been relegated after sitting in the bottom three after seven games.
In the last ten seasons, at least one team who have been in the bottom three after seven games has ended up relegated to the Championship.
In five of those ten seasons, at least two of the bottom three have suffered relegation come the end of the campaign. In fact, it has happened for the last two years in a row.
That should serve as a warning to West Ham, Stoke and Sunderland that they will need to start picking up points sooner rather than later.
If they do not, it seems at least one of them will end up in the second flight next season unless they can somehow break a very consistent Premier League record.
